Here’s what’s cookin’ Vanilla Ice Cream
Recipe from the kitchen of Jan Marwitz
Serves 10 (makes 1 gal.)
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 large can Carnation milk
- Enough sweet milk to fill freezer
Directions
Beat eggs, add sugar, beat well.
Add all other ingredients, mix thoroughly.
Pour in freezer, add sweet milk to fill container.
If desired fruit may be added.
Makes 1 gal.
Notes
- "Sweet milk" is the old Southern term for ordinary fresh whole milk, as distinct from buttermilk.
